The Roaring 2020s

Reading some of y’all’s hopes and dreams for the new decade have prompted me to reflect on my experiences as well. I have perused countless recaps, passionate vows of fortitude, commitments to regain control of what healthy means for different people, and even poetic goodbyes.


Albeit endearing, in lieu of a highlight reel I curate after browsing thousands of photos or writing a summary of each year to showcase my highest highs and lowest lows, I decided to ask myself some questions instead:


Where will I place my energy? What do I really want? What steps do I want to take in becoming a better version of myself?

After about 45 seconds, I’ve decided to put little to no effort in changing anything. It’s cheaper and likely less disappointing. Here’s to ten more years of my shit.
